About the K9 Club

We have been rescuing lost and abandoned animals in the south Costa Blanca for many years. Members of our team will care for the lost and abandoned animals that we find.

Also, when necessary, we use the services of trusted private kennels, for the rescued animal’s when a foster home is not available.

The K9 club is a registered charitable association, number CV-01-043388-A.

The animals we accommodate are advertised on our own web site.

We also have adoption manuals placed in many locations with posters of each one that includes an explanation of how each animal was found, and its personal characteristics.

All the animals that come into our possession receive first class veterinary examinations and treatment from established veterinary clinics.

The funds needed to pay for vets fees, and where appropriate for accommodation in kennels, are raised by our members and volunteers in various ways.

Items that are donated and offered to us for sale are sold from one of our own shops located on Urbanisation La Marina or in Almoradi, both are managed and staffed by our volunteers.

Greetings card sales, collection tins and calendars are also placed in various business premises. We also receive donations and we have successful fund raising events.

Animal Fostering

K9 CLUB CAT AND DOG FOSTERER’S NEEDED

We need foster carers to give pets a temporary loving home until we can find them a permanent home.

Fostering a pet can be a pleasurable and a rewarding experience and is essential for K9 to be able to continue helping abandoned animals.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A FOSTERER?

A LOVE FOR ANIMALS, ideally with experience of owning a pet.

PATIENCE, animals may be frightened or anxious about a new home and need time to settle and adjust.

UNDERSTANDING, about what the animal may have seen or been through, and aware that the animal may have been abused.

DEDICATION, willing to look after an animal until a new home can be found.

EXTRAORDINARY, it takes a special person to be a fosterer and with our help this could be you.

If you think you could offer a temporary home to either a Cat or a Dog, please contact the K9 Club.

Animal Sponsorship

During the course of the year, a great number of dogs and cats are brought to K9, each with their own heart-rending stories.

Most of them are in desperate need of food, water, medical attention and most of all a safe haven.

The little cute ones will find good homes, but unfortunately, there are others who will be with us for the rest of their lives.

As a sponsor, your donation will provide the much needed support for the animals who, for a variety of reasons will never be able to be re- homed.

Our website lists our cats and dogs in our care.  You can sponsor an individual animal or sponsor us generally.

Even a small donation can help with kennel fees, food and medical treatment.

When you become a sponsor of an Animal, the K9 Club will send you quarterly updates on your chosen animal, including photos.

If you have any queries, or you would like to arrange a visit to meet some of our animals and see for yourself the work we do. Please email us on k9clubinfo@gmail.com

Gift in your will

Making a Will is really important, it is the only way you can be certain that your property and possessions will pass to those who you want to benefit.

When you decide to make your will it is advisable to go to a Solicitor for help. They will help you leave clear and unambiguous instructions in your will, including any gifts to a charity that you wish to make.

If you would like to leave a legacy to the K9 Club, the main points to include are our name, address and registered charity number.
